|Author 1||Brian Delahaye commenced as an academic in 1982 with the School of Management at the Queensland University of Technology, lecturing in training and development, human resource management and strategic management, and eventually became the Associate Professor for Adult and Workplace Learning in the School of Learning and Professional Studies, a position he held until 2010. During his time as an academic, Brian consulted widely with commercial, government and volunteer organisations on workplace learning, developing trainers, management development, managing change and managing knowledge. In his research, Brian focused on self-directed learning, management of knowledge and, more recently, on older learners and work integrated learning. He has published over 50 refereed journal articles and book chapters and has written numerous textbooks and monographs.|
|Author 2||Sarojni Choy is Associate Professor, Adult and Vocational Education, in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. Her teaching areas include: vocational education and training, workplace learning, and contemporary issues in adult education. Sarojni is the convenor of the Master of Training and Development program in Singapore and is also engaged in collaborative studies on workplace learning with colleagues from Switzerland and Sweden. Sarojni's research expertise is grounded in the fields of adult and youth learning, and vocational education and training. Her research interests are mainly in improving learning in the workplace through employment-based training, in continuing professional education and training, and in developing novice researchers. She has published a number of books and book chapters in the field, as well as numerous academic articles in leading peer reviewed journals.|
